Super Multi Blue Drive from LG

LG Electronics launched its ‘Super Multi Blue Drive’ in Korea market, which supports both Blu-ray and HD DVD formats. Featuring 6x speed Blu-ray disc, the Super Multi Blue Drive supports Blu-ray capacity of 50GB and HD-DVD capacity of 30GB. However before you jump to buy one of these; make sure that your PC motherboard chipset supports HD-DVD and Blu-ray or not.

Suggested price is around 49,000 (KRW).

Planex Mini SD type SDIO WiFi card

Planex introduced its Mini SD type SDIO (Secure Digital Input Output) wireless LAN card ‘GW-MS54G’ supporting 802.11b/g. It enables users to enjoy Wi-Fi access on their mobile devices like PDAs and smart phones that are equipped with a Mini SD slot.

The GW-MS54G is expected to be available in Japan market in December, and suggested price is 9,800 (JPY).

Glossy lipstick shaped MP3 Players

Sony expects to launch its lipstick-shaped compact mp3 player ‘Walkman NW-E013’ in Japan market on December 19th, which targets females with a glossy body and various colors. Featuring 28g weight, it offers 1GB capacity. Suggested price is 10,980 (JPY). Design looks quite attractive and that black one, even boys won’t mind buying it. Sony must have attached the cap that covers the USB port as it can easily be misplaced.

Safa rolled out its new mp3 player ‘Q10′ in Korea market. By applying IMD method, it features ergonomic design with round corners. It is designed to be easy to handle by eliminating buttons on the front that are not used frequently. It supports seven equalizer sound effects and SRS WOW. It also has 2-color STN LCD and various additional functions including voice recording, phone book, A-B repeat, and data storage with password support to protect important personal files.

It runs on internal lithium-ion battery and supports 12 hours of music play and 22 hours of recording. Suggested price is 79,000 (KRW) for 1GB and 99,000 (KRW) for 2GB.

ProLite touchscreen monitors

Regardless of their lack in mainstream appeal, touch screen monitors are slowly making inroads onto Joe Public’s desktop, and display specialist Iiyama is hoping to come along for the ride with its new line of ProLine models. Coming in 15- (T1530SR), 17- (T1730SR), and 19-inch (T1930SR) flavors, the latest ProLines feature 800:1 contrast ratios, either 280 or 240cd/m² brightness, 5ms or 16ms response times, and either 1,280 x 1,024 (T1930 and T1730) or 1,024 x 768 (T1530) resolutions. Available immediately, the monitors range from £329 ($677) to £399 ($821) depending on size.
