Fujifilm Finepix S8000fd 8MP super zoom camera

Fujifilm Korea announced the release of its 8M digital camera ‘Finepix S8000fd’ with an 18x optical zoom lens and a 5.1x digital zoom lens.

This super zoom camera offers a focal range of 27 to 486mm stabilization, and adopts face detection technology. Other features included a 2.5 inch LCD screen, shooting of 15 images per second, ‘i-flash’ function and a double-shot function enabling you to take two pictures at once.

Suggested price is around 400,000 KRW

PENTAX 12MP compact digital camera

PENTAX plans to release its 12MP high-end compact digital camera ‘Optio A40′ in Japanese market in early November 2007.

The Optio A40 offers face recognition and triple shake reduction functions (mechanical, digital and movie) according to situations. Other features of it include ISO 3200 support, 2.5-inch LCD monitor. No words on pricing yet.

Measuring 89×54x23 mm, the 12.1M COOLPIX S700 powers up within 0.9 seconds and its practically imperceptible shutter release time lag is 0.005 seconds or less. Adopting 2.7-inch LCD monitor and 3x optical zoom lens, it is expected to be available for 390,000 KRW.
Nikon releases its smallest size digital camera ‘COOLPIX S700’ and another model ‘COOLPIX L14’ featuring the longest battery life in Korea market.

The 7M COOLPIX L14 offers the world’s longest battery life, allowing it to shoot 1,000 photos on a pair of Energizer lithium AA-size batteries. Supporting ISO 1000 and 3x optical zoom lens, it is expected to be available for around 190,000 KRW.

SoccerCam for sports fans

Mustek released SoccerCam, a digital camera built inside a protective soccerball shell that opens to reveal the camera for soccer fans to show their passion towards their soccer.
It features 2.1M CMOS sensor, SD and MMC storage card. Users can select high-resolution mode to increase the picture size to 3.5 megapixels. Suggested price is 39.99 USD.

Fujifilm 7.2MP digital camera in seven brilliant colors

Fujifilm Korea announced the launch of its 7.2MP stylish compact digital camera ‘Z10fd’ in Korea market, which features 18.8mm-thick portable design and seven brilliant colors to match the latest styles of today’s fashionista.

Supporting 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5-inch LCD screen, automatic red-eye removal feature and 54MB of internal memory, the FinePix Z10fd has Face Detection Technology that identifies up to 10 human faces in a scene and sets the correct focus for a chosen primary face and exposure for all detected faces automatically.

Panasonic released their first DSLR camera

Panasonic released the company’s first digital SLR camera ‘LUMIX DMC-L10’ in US market, which offers 10.1M Live CMOS sensor and 2.5-inch LCD which can rotate 270-degree.

Combining Face Detection with Panasonic’s Intelligent ISO Control settings, which measures the movement of the subject and sets the ISO level accordingly, helps give consumers crisp, blur-free images.

It is available for 1,300(USD).
