Sungju Computer introduced its 12-inch laptop ‘Tango X’ in Korea market. Weighing about 1.9kg, it features Core 2 Duo CPU, DVD multi disc drive, 1.3M webcam and etc. Customers can choose either Windows XP or Windows Vista for OS. It comes with all those features like SD card slot, VGA out etc which is almost a standard now. On the design part, most of us won’t complain.
NEC introduced its all-in-one PC ‘Powermate P5010′ featuring a handle. It offers full pc functionality while maintaining slim design. Can prove very practical in some situations but it will look funny. I would better use a laptop bag which can very well carry few CD’s, pen, pencil and scale too. LCD screen is also prone to damage.

Dell International launched its 15.4-inch premium notebook pc ‘XPS M1530’ in Korea market, which adopts Intel’s Core 2 Duo T7800 CPU and 965PM chipset.
Equipped with a slot loading DVD-RW drive and a 2M built-in webcam, the XPS M1530 supports 256MB DDR3 memory, 64GB SSD and NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT. Featuring 2.37cm-thick slim design, it enhanced a bio-metric fingerprint sensor system.
Suggested price starts from 1,259,000 KRW (excluded VAT).
TG Samgo is introducing its new zen-style 14.1-inch laptop ‘EVERATEC 4600′. Based on Intel’s Santa Rosa platform, the EVERATEC is optimized for multimedia and graphic works. It runs Windows Vista Premium edition and features 1.3M pc camera, and WLAN 802.11n. It weighs 2.3kg. Overall design looks quite similar to one of the acer model with 14” screen.
Sony introduced its new notebook pc ‘VAIO Graphic Splash Eco Edition’ that comes with four eco designs options: Caribbean Water, Clay Earth, Spotted Life and Bloom.
Using easy-to-recycle materials for resource conservation, the VAIO Graphic Splash Eco Edition notebooks will start at about 1,391 USD and will be available in limited quantities at its website (www.sony.com/pr/eco) starting in early November.
Sony will donate one percent of the price of each Graphic Splash Eco Edition notebook purchased to non-profit organizations working to preserve the environment.
Haier Korea launched its latest Santa Rosa-based sub notebook pc ‘S20’ in Korea market, which is equipped with 12.1-inch wide screen and 1.3M web camera. Adopting Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 2.0G processor, the S20 features glossy black design. Suggested price is around 900,000 KRW.
HP launched its four desktop PCs and four notebook PCs in Japan market.
The desktop PCs include two compact models (s3240ip/CT, s3220jp/CT) and two slim models (v7280jp/CT, v7260jp/CT), and the v7280jp/CT is equipped with next-generation DVD drive supporting both HD DVD and Blu-ray disc. Suggested price is 59,850~77,700 JPY.
The notebook PCs include 12.1-,14.1-,15.4-, and 17-inch models which adopt ZEN-design samon and ZEN-design shizuku. Suggested price is 79,800~155,400 JPY.
Sharp Corporation will be launching a new laptop “Mebius” in late October. It will come pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium and Office Personal 2007. The display is a 1,280 x 800 dot (WXGA) 14.1 corresponding type LCD display giving bright and sharp images.
Main specifications are: CPU - Mobile Sempron 3400 + (1.80GHz), ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 chipset (integrated video), 1 GB of memory (PC2-4200, up to 2 GB), 120GB HDD, DVD combo drive.The interface provided are USB 2.0 x 4, IEEE 1394 (4-pin), Type II PC Card slot, Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b / g wireless LAN, SD Card / Memory Stick / xD-Picture Card Compatibility slots, mini D-Sub.

Matsushita is planning to release a durable laptop series T7, R7, Y7 on October 19 and W series on November 16 in Japan market.
It features a magnesium alloy which doesn’t get much damaged even when it falls from 76cm height. It also adopted Intel SantaRosa platform and waterproof keyboard. Price to be confirmed yet.
Fujitsu Korea launched its Santa Rosa based tablet notebook pc ‘Lifebook T2010’ in Korea market, Running on Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 processor, it adopts 12.1-inch wide touch screen, 1GB memory and SATA 120GB HDD.
