SAFA expects to launch its prosumer mp3 player named Bandi in Korea market, which looks much like candy. It will be available in October. Its available in 5 colors, green, white, black, pink (for girls?) and blue. Adopting a 1.5-inch OLED display and flash memory from Samsung, the Bandi features touch scroll, decent sound quality and distinctive GUI like a lightning bug.

CREATIVE to launch its portable media player for music, photos, and videos ‘ZEN Mozaic’, which will be available in August.

Equipped with the 9 tactile buttons the ZEN Mozaic features a 1.8-inch LCD screen, built-in speakers, FM radio and voice recorder. Supporting MP3/WMA/WAV and AVI formats, it comes in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB internal memory. Weighing 43g and measures 79.5mm x 40mm x 12.8mm, the Creative ZEN Mozaic provides up to 32 hours of audio playback with a single charge of the battery.

Sony announced the launch of its new premium mp3 player ‘Walkman NWZ-A820/A720 Series’ which are available in three capacities, 4GB, 8GB and 16MB.

Adopting a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD screen with LED backlight, these mp3 players also supports video codec including AVC(H.264/AVC) and MPEG4 in 30fps, and features bundled Sony’s 13.5mm EX series earphone. Measuring 5.1×9.39×0.93cm at 58g weight, the NWZ-A820 comes in black and pink while the NWZ-A720 does four different colors such as black, white, pink and gold.

Available in pink, blue and gold motifs and will arrive in 1GB and 2GB forms and weighs 24-grams. Users will also find a built-in equalizer, MP3 / WMA support and a 128 x 32 OLED display to boot. Its internal battery will last for around 17 hours sans a recharge, and it is priced at just ¥6,980 ($65) / ¥8,980 ($84). It will, however, go on sale in Japan from February 1st.

B&O (Bang & Olufsen) is introducing a new mp3 player ‘BeoSound 6’ at upcoming CES 2008 in Las Vegas, USA. Adopting B&O’s high-end audio technology, this mp3 player is capable of providing 40 hours of playback which is amazing. It features 1.81-inch TFT LCD display and 4GB internal memory. Weight of this player is 65g.

iriver AMOLED mp4 player ‘Clix+’ supporting DMB function was launched in Korea market. Display size is 2.2-inch QVGA and video playback at 30fps. It supports MPEG4 and WMV9 file formats and various video files can be converted automatically using ‘iriver Plus 3′. It adopted a direct-click interface and it is 12.8mm thick.

Suggested price is 278,000 KRW for 8GB, 218,000 KRW for 4GB, price of 2GB model is not known yet.

Hannuri Biz presented its slim bar type electronic dictionary ‘Nurian FX1’ in Korea market.

Employing 3.5-inch 24-bit color LCD, the FX1 features 22 x 72.5 x 15mm compact size with 120g light weight and high-glossy UV-coated finish. It removed keyboard and adopted inductive wheel key to enhance convenience in use.

Having 55 kinds of dictionary contents which include English, Chinese and Japanese, the FX1 supports ‘Speed Search Bar’ enables users to search words easily. Acelabs announced the launch of its new 11mm-thick slim premium mp3 player ‘S5′ in Korea market. The S5, successor to the company’s previous model ‘S3′, features 2.8-inch LCD and DMB tuner. By adopting Medio-2000 multimedia chip, the S5 boasts outstanding reception rate anywhere, enabling users to enjoy T-DMB program from free, the company claims.

Other features include video playback, image viewer, e-book, and FM radio.Suggested price is 129,000(KRW) for 2GB and 155,000(KRW) for 4GB.

Reigncom launched its new mp4p ‘W7′ in Korea market. It features TFT LCD wide touch screen (WQVGA 480X272), flash light 2.0.2, SRS WOW HD soundfield, mini SD card slot and one-click UI. It has electronic dictionary content for four languages (English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korea). The company expects to launch several additional accessories for the model such as a car kit or a pouch.

Plezo unveiled its new ultra small mp3 player ‘avox NF-101′ in Korea market. Most noticeable feature is its internal powerful 500mw speaker despite of its tiny size, which enables users to enjoy music without earphones. It measures only 52 x 33 x 12mm (W x H x D) and weighs 27.5g.

Encased with aluminum metal, it supports A-B repeat function and allows users to adjust playing speed, which might be useful for learning foreign languages. Other features include FM radio, voice recorder, and e-book. You can enjoy music while it is being charged.
